History Behind the Scenes
Inside Look Clip One
Dirt Chase Scene
During the dirt road chase scene Eric Pereira (Director) was filming out of the back of the camera van when the rod holding the doors open let go causing both doors to slam in on him one by one. Luckily for everyone no one was hurt and we were almost at the end of the dirt road anyhow.
Inside Look Clip Two
Dream Fight Scene
With the camera rolling we began the first fight scene with cars sliding into frame. George (Played by Geoff Kaiser) dressed in a gray sweet shirt and blue hat gets out too fight the guys (Played by Steven Cramsie and Tim Kaiser) who were chasing him. We broke our fight scenes into three parts. You can see a ruff cut of part one and part two in this clip.
Inside Look Clip Three
The Boss Scene
In this clip Boss Bad Guy (Played by G.W. Davis) is asking questions about where he should be. We needed to block each actor one by one in order to have the timing down for the one shot take. You can see by this clip that it took us awhile and many takes to get it all down, the end result was a nice continous take.
Inside Look Clip Four
Street Chase 1 Scene
Before we started shooting the second city street scene we went over the Script and Shot List in order to make sure that everyone knew when and what they would be doing when the camera started to roll. Dan (with sunglass) and Brandon (in white) also check the door support rod while some guy did donuts in the parking lot.
Inside Look Clip Five
Street Chase 2 Scene
If you only watch one clip, make sure it’s this one. Doing any kind of car cut-off scene is always hard, but doing it when other people are on the road and traffic lights turn red makes it really hard. Luckily for us after the 9th take we got what we needed for the scene.
