Who are the people in the film industry which have had an influence in the way you make films today?

Sam Mendes, American Beauty and Jarhead Francis Ford Coppola, The Godfather and Apocolypse Now Oliver Stone, Platoon and Any Given Sunday, though he does make alot of garbage. There was something so absurd about the reality of life in those films, yet they drop you in and you live it with the people in the film, you become emotionally invested and you feel and see things regular people don't go through. Those are all extremely weel made films on top of that.

Tarantino and Mel Brooks for showing that as long as you keep your story consistent not everything has to make sense, it just has to be what it is. When you learn that your film becomes your vision. Tim Burton, he has some amazing looking films and builds a world that is similar but twisted, always a journey to somewhere even if the film isn't great.

Why do you make films?

I don't know. Moth to a flame I guess.

What advice would you like to give other filmmakers?

Observe people, whether your writing a part, directing an actor, or trying to create the character as an actor you need to know something about why people do as they do. It sounds cheesy but motivation is kinda key.
