Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors in Los Angeles was the largest festival we've ever had the pleasure of screening our film at. “The Caregiver” was one of four other short films picked from a couple hundred submitted. It was an honor to play with other great films like Alicia Conway's “Rite” and Robert W. Filion’s “See the Dead”.
Mickey Faerch, from our film “The Caregiver”, and Daeg Faerch were also there promoting Daeg's new film "Dark Mirror", a must see, coming to theaters May 6, 2009.
It was great to be in the company of old friends from City Band Productions, Burry Vision Productions, Shave Stone Productions and the music band Go Betty Go but even better, we made a lot of new ones and had the opportunity to meet Sam Raimi, Tobe Hopper, Italian horror directors Lamberto Bava and Marylin Burns the heroine of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and legendary director Lloyd Kaufman just to name a few.
Thanks to everyone again for a great time! Keep your bones crossed for the next couple of film festivals that we're submitting to!

Happy New Year to all!
“The Caregiver” is now complete and with a new year comes more updates for Diffusion Films. In the next couple of months we will add our very first DVD store called the Stockpile Store where you can buy any of our films we have made over the last couple of years using a Pay-Pal account. All sales from the online store will go to help us fund new productions.
Also our film "History" was shot back in 2003 but after lying around on a shelf we are remastering the final cut and completing the film for a release this summer.

As Tec knowledge advances we what to grow Diffusion Films to reach more filmmakers. To help us get this job done we are developing three new items.
The first one will be RSS 2.0 and Atom 0.3 feeds to get up to the minute news, casting calls, and production up dates.
The second one is an e-News letter sent out once a quarter with a three month recap of Diffusion Films as well as new DVDs and items being sold.
The third and most important one of all is Diffusion Films now as a “Mobile” website where you can download your favorite film trailers right to your mobile device.
All there of these projects are still under development so bear in mind that there will be some bugs to workout however please send us your feed back at anytime.

The 2007 El Cajon Video and Film Festival went off with a bang as countless films were played all very well shot and directed which lead to some hardcore competing among film makers. When all was said and done Diffusion Films walked away with two awards! “Foreboding” beat two other films in its class to win second place in the Student Drama category and "American Nightmare" beat out three other films to win first place in the Student Horror category.
Thanks to everyone again who help make Diffusion Films the little film company it is today!!!

With the 2007 Imperial Beach International Film Festival coming to an end tonight we will have to see if “Foreboding” takes an awards however I did not see an awards ceremony in the program and some festival goes were say that there would be no awards give out anymore for this festival. In any case it was a blast and if you could not make it them I hope you can make the El Cajon Video and Film Festival this coming Saturday September 15 at the ECMAC Theater located at 389 Magnolia Ave, El Cajon. A screening line-up has been placed on there website. I will be there from opening to the end, so if your coming for sure e-mail me so I can try to save you a seat.

2007 Imperial Beach International Film Festival has accepted “Foreboding" for this coming Saturday the 8th at around 12:00 Noon at Dempsey Holder Hall, Ocean Lane and Elder Ave., (Behind the Lifeguard Tower at the IB Pier Plaza) Imperial Beach CA. Sorry for the late noticed but the festival just now posted the information!
Both “Foreboding” and “American Nightmare” will play in the El Cajon Video and Film Festival which will take place this September 15th at the (NEW LOCATION) ECMAC Theater at 389 Magnolia Ave, El Cajon. Seating is limited to 350 seats, so buying tickets early will be important. Tickets are $5.00 at the door and the play time will be listed on the festival’s website I hope soon.
As for San Diego and Temecula Valley, I can only guess that they did not want us to win all the awards so they didn’t put the films into their festival to give everyone else a chance!

As Diffusion Films expands, so must our website. We hope you like the new look. After all it’s a far cry from what we had posted. We updated the website because we felt it was time to call ourselves a full video and film production company. We will stay true to our independent roots by working with new starting filmmakers. However, after working with other independent companies like Blackout Creations, City Band Productions, and New Liberty Entertainment, we look to continue to produce in-house projects, but will now offer our services to other production companies looking to take their projects to the next level.
June 11, 2006
With "American Nightmare" wrapped, we can now move into completing the film poster for Foreboding, as well as sending off a host of films to San Diego's local Film Festival. With some luck Foreboding, The Rewrite, Sign, and Empty will be picked up and aired later in the year.

The parent company of Diffusion Films, formally known as Osmosis Entertainment, has changed its name to Osmosis Industries due to the expansion of its companies and partnerships. Due to the growing number of projects Osmosis deals with both in film and in other business relations the updates for this site where cut back for sometime. We will try to update Diffusion Films as quickly as we can. Sorry for the inconvenience.

However, I will make sure to try to stay up to date with everything that is going on from this point forward. The links page is the next thing on my list; please check back in a week for that update, sorry... Brandon A. Cottrell.
